The ideal candidate has experience programming CNC machinery with a extensive understanding of Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCad, Cabinet Vision, &amp; Microvellum. The candidate will assist with setting up machine parts and tools, maintain the machines, build programs to better assist production, and use experienced programming skills to help operate the machines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>What We Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Competitive Wages: $25-32 per hour (based on experience)<\/li>\n<li>Full-Time Opportunity<\/li>\n<li>Benefits Package<\/li>\n<li>Family-Owned Company<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to Grow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adaptability<\/li>\n<li>Analytical Thinking<\/li>\n<li>Decision Making<\/li>\n<li>Planning and Organizing<\/li>\n<li>Problem-Solving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.<\/li>\n<li>Study and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and load raw materials into the CNC machines.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise CNC machines during production and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all CNC programming written is in accordance with production blueprints and quality standards.<\/li>\n<li>Continually maintain the CNC programming database.<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and diagnose common CNC problems, consulting with manufacturer as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Post-secondary diploma or certification in a related field preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some college or industry courses in machining.<\/li>\n<li>Journeyman \/ Red Seal CNC Machinist certification preferred.<\/li>\n<li>10-15+ years of experience in CNC programming in a manufacturing, woodworking, Kitchens\/furniture environment considered an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Accurate and highly analytical<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thank you for your interest in Cortina Kitchens Inc.
